The Quad-A Academy exists to be part of that: rebranding Africa through sound, while giving learners the grounding to kick-start a career in audio engineering.
Quad-A Records’ mission is to rebrand Africa through sound by delivering high-quality audio productions, educating future audio engineers, driving innovation, and distributing audio services globally. The Academy Project is a one-year programme built to help learners grow into industry-certified audio engineers.
On Completion, Engineers Will
- Acquire the professional and technical skills needed to work as an audio engineer
- Earn industry-recognised certification
- Access the best mentors in the audio engineering industry
- Gain technical film sound editing skills
- Have the chance at employment as an audio engineer at the Quad-A facility
Eligibility
- At least 23 years of age
- Able to commit six months to the programme (four hours daily for the first three months, eight hours for the next three, Monday to Friday)
- Basic skills in a DAW: Cubase, Pro Tools, Adobe Audition or Fairlight
- Able to communicate in English
Application Process
- ONLINE APPLICATION: shortlisted candidates move to stage two.
- SELECTION ASSESSMENT: an online assessment testing core values and basic audio engineering knowledge.
- INTERVIEWS: to gauge strengths and abilities of the finalists.
