The classroom inside the studio. Quad-A Academy teaches practical audio engineering on live sessions, in the same rooms where the films on this site were mixed. Nobody learns this craft from slides.

General programmes

Graduates leave with screen credits to their name. Several now work on the projects in our selected work reel.

IN COLLABORATION WITH

FORMOSA GROUP

A three-part panel series taught with Formosa Group, the Los Angeles post-production sound company behind studio features and series. Formosa's supervising editors and re-recording mixers sat with Quad-A and the wider African sound community and worked through how the craft is actually practised at that level. All three panels are open to watch.

THE CAPP JOURNEY

Certificate in Audio Production & Post-Production

In 2026 Quad-A Academy joined Bayimba Cultural Foundation and the Mastercard Foundation to train 150 young Ugandans for real work in sound. They came in six cohorts of 25, many with no formal audio training before day one. Each cohort spent eight weeks with us: four weeks of hands-on instruction, from sound theory and field recording to dialogue, Foley, mixing and mastering, then an industry internship and a final project defended in front of a panel of working professionals. Fridays went to digital skills and financial literacy, so graduates leave able to run their craft as a business.
